BEFORE AND
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Bookings will be first come first served. All payments will be uploaded onto MCAS where all other school payments come through. You are able to book daily, weekly, half termly, termly or for the year for the days which the club is needed for you. My suggestion would be to secure your place for the long term if this is what is needed. Payment will be consistently uploaded on a Monday, paying for the previous week.
Welcome to Featherstone Academy Breakfast Club
We operate from 8:00am each morning and accommodate all children from Little Learners through to Year 6.
*Costs are £4 for Breakfast club from 8.00 until the start of school.
*All children are accompanied to their classroom at the end of the session.
*All prices include breakfast.
Our aim is to provide a safe, secure environment before school where children can have a healthy balanced breakfast with their friends, while also providing a reliable childcare solution.
Breakfast options are:
Toast & preserves, Cereals and Fruit alongside Milk, Fruit juice or Water. We also offer seasonal and celebrational additions such as pancakes and boiled eggs etc. (Allergies and food intolerances will be accommodated)
As well as providing a healthy breakfast we want our club to be a place where children can socailise with their friends and have fun.
To do this, over the week we provide:
*Crafts- Lets get arty and creative before school, creating decorations for our classroom and posters/ bunting etc.
*Puzzles/ Games -A great way to get our brains working and minds ticking before school starts. *Books/ magazines- There is no such thing as too much reading and ‘Reading for pleasure’ is what we are keen to promote.
*Wake up, shake up’ routines - Let’s get moving with an active start to the day to kick start our metabolism.
*We are also in a lucky position to be able to access school resources such as the iPad for the children to use.
Breakfast club runs from the sensory/ kitchen room and Little Learners play room. This gives us lots of space to accommodate the various ages and for the Early years children it provides a space many of them are already used to and therefore feel comfortable. Entrance is gained from the smaller playground and through Little Learners entrance.
Staffing in the Breakfast club is Mrs Harvey, Miss Hagan, Mrs Bennett and Mrs Spencer. Again, this means that the younger children are seeing familiar reassuring faces. It also gives the staff the opportunity to work with the older children, many of which they used to care for. All staff are trained in Food hygiene to provide breakfasts and of course First aid and Safeguarding.
Your MCAS will be updated at the end of each week, and payments are made through your MCAS app or we can accept tax free childcare vouchers used through your employment. (We can provide more information on this should you wish). If you are interested in Booking a place at Breakfast club please call in the school office or call us on 01902 734167

If you are interested in Booking a place at either club please call in the school office or call us on 01902 734167 or email information@fea.greenheartlearning.org.
I know that this new arrangement will be beneficial to the children and also hope the reduction in costs support our community at a time when cost of living is increasing so dramatically. Any feedback is welcome at headteacher@fea.greenheartlearning.org
