We are proud to be a part of the University of Wolverhampton Children's University and run the programme across Key Stage 2. Children's University is a charity that works in partnership with schools to develop a love of learning in children by encouraging and celebrating participation in extra-curricular activities in and outside of school. The impact of these activities is proven to be positive and research shows that joining a Children's University can make a real difference to children's confidence, social skills, attainment and attendance at school.
Come along to the Children's University Launch Assembly (see below for details) to find out more about how your child can start collecting stamps towards achieving Children's University awards. We will be providing refreshments.

We are proud to be a part of the University of Wolverhampton Children’s University and run the programme in Year 4 and Year 5. Our first Children’s University graduation was held at Featherstone Academy on 3rd December 2019. Pupils and parents came together to celebrate the achievements of Year 5. We are excited for every child in Key Stage 2 to have the opportunity to benefit from the programme in the near future.

How can I achieve my award?
Children are able to collect stamps in their Children’s University Passport to Learning. Usually, one session or activity is worth one stamp. Stamps can be collected at after school clubs, holiday schemes and validated Learning Destinations. You can also collect stamps by completing half termly challenges set by Children’s University or attending Art Galleries and Museums. You can achieve your first award at 30 stamps!

Clubs outside school…
You can earn stamps by attending clubs outside of school such as brownies, cubs or swimming lessons. Check with your group/club leader to see if they may already be a Learning Destination, if not you can give them a Learning Destination Voucher.

Each stamp you collect brings you closer to a Children’s University Award, presented at a graduation ceremony.
