Dear Parents/Carers,
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As part of the recommendation by the Department of Education for schools to finish term a day early on Thursday 17th December, we have been asked to facilitate Track and Trace procedures for our school community for 6 days after the end of term up until 23rd December at 5.00pm.
We are asking parents/carers to contact school if:
- A child from Featherstone Academy tests positive for COVID19
- Anyone in their household receives a positive test for COVID19
It is particularly important that you inform us of any positive cases with children at Featherstone Academy so that we are able to inform the parents/carers of other children within that bubble immediately and to make sure that the children self-isolate.
Arrangements for contacting school
Please email information@featherstoneacademy.co.uk
Or vjackson@featherstone.uwmat.co.uk between 8am and 5pm daily.
PLEASE DO NOT USE DOJO OR ANY OTHER FORM OF COMMUNICATION AS THIS WILL NOT BE MONITORED.
If it is a positive case of COVID19, please state clearly:
- The name of the child and their class
- Who within the household has tested positive
- When they first had symptoms
- Their test date
The email will be monitored between 8am and 5pm up until 23rd December. We will acknowledge receipt of your communication. We will share this information with the DFE and Public Health England.
How we will contact other parents/carers to share information
Should any children be required to self-isolate because they have been in close contact with somebody who has tested positive for COVID19 we will contact parents by a phone call with a follow up letter sent via Parentmail to inform them and advise them to self-isolate.
Many thanks for your support/cooperation with this and helping to keep us all safe. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Kind regards
V Jackson

Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Free School Meal Voucher Scheme
The University of Wolverhampton Multi Academy Trust is committed to ensuring a free school meal provision is provided to all its eligible students, we have ensured this through the early distribution of cash payments (23rd March 2020) and supermarket vouchers through Wonde in anticipation of future guidance.
The Government subsequently launched a National Free School Meal Voucher Scheme on the 1st April 2020 and issued guidance on the 7th April 2020, directing the sector to work with Edenred its chosen provider.
Our Academies are working hard to ensure all eligible students have access to Free School Meal vouchers covering the Easter period and future term time periods as soon as possible. Edenred are experiencing high levels of demand which is causing delays in issuing vouchers.
Parents will receive vouchers by email from Edenred. Where we do not hold a valid email address the Academy will make contact with you.
We appreciate your patience during this time.
