COVID19 UPDATE 17/3/2020

< Back to the news

Following last night's advice from the government the school has taken the following decisions after being advised from the Trust:

  • All clubs and visits are to be cancelled from 17/3/2020
  • Swimming for Year 2 has been cancelled for the foreseeable future
  • We are also limiting the amount of time children are spent in gatherings such as assemblies and will encourage all staff to ventilate classrooms and allow children to have lots of outdoor time
  • We are at present trying to rearrange the Year 6 visit to Wales

Please continue to support us in keeping the whole school community safe by following the guidance given.  If anyone in the family has a persistent cough or temperature the whole family is to isolate for 14 days.

Patients with mild symptoms are being asked to self-isolate at home.  People are being advised not to ring NHS 111 or their GP to report their symptoms unless they are worried.

The Covid-19 disease can cause a fever, cough and breathing problems.  It takes 5 days on average for people to start showing the symptoms

Thank you for your co-operation.
